Stonewool45 100mm – an insulation material made from Rock mineral wool, known as stone wool has been made from raw materials including stone and glass. These materials are heated until they melt and then spun to form a wool like fibre. Stonewool45 Insulation 100mm has three main properties – Thermal, fire, and acoustic. See below.
Thermal – conductivity of just 0.035W/mK. Thermal conductivity means less heat will pass through the insulation slabs, keeping internal temperatures level. The thermal properties will also prevent heat / energy escaping the building and save money on energy bills. Less energy escaping will also create a more energy efficient property.
Fire – Stonewool45 is non-combustible and give no contribution to the spread of fire. The slab will not ignite due to flame exposure. The product also has a melting point of over 1000 ºc. The 100mm Stonewool gives more time for people to leave the building and prevent damage to the building structure.
Acoustic – Stonewool Slab insulation has acoustic qualities that work by absorbing sound waves. The absorption of sounds waves prevents sound travelling throughout the building. Stonewool Slab dampens vibrations creating a more comfortable environment overall.
