  • Defined system role: Provides the vertical support framework within wall lining systems, forming the base structure for plasterboard linings.
  • Accurate wall preparation: Creates a straight, stable, and dimensionally consistent substrate for smooth wall finishes.
  • Galvanised steel construction: Strong, rigid, and corrosion-resistant for long-term performance in varied environments.
  • Dimensional stability: Maintains alignment without twisting or bowing, ensuring reliable framework integrity.
  • System integration: Used in combination with GL2 brackets, GL8 track, and associated channels as part of the complete Gypliner system.

Applications

  • Gypliner wall linings: Primary vertical framework element for non-loadbearing drylining systems.
  • Plasterboard fixing: Provides a secure substrate for attaching plasterboard sheets in residential, commercial, or refurbishment projects.
  • Performance frameworks: Forms part of systems designed to enhance acoustic, thermal, and fire performance.
  • Refurbishment projects: Ideal for correcting irregular or poor-quality wall surfaces to prepare for decorative finishes.

Installation Guidance

  • Preparation: Fix GL8 track to floor and ceiling as base and head channels before inserting GL1 studs.
  • Stud positioning: Insert studs into the track and align with GL2 brackets fixed to the substrate at specified centres.
  • Alignment checks: Ensure studs are plumb and framework is square to achieve a straight and even wall surface.
  • Stud spacing: Position studs at standard centres (typically 600mm, or as specified) to align with plasterboard sheet sizes.
  • Service integration: Allow for cabling, insulation, or pipework within the cavity prior to boarding where required.
  • Handling care: Avoid distortion or over-cutting of studs to preserve dimensional accuracy and system performance.
