Sealacryl Fibre Reinforced Roof Compound (manufactured by
Bond It) is
a high-performance, solvent-based acrylic liquid membrane.
Pre-mixed with dispersed high-tensile fibres, it is specifically designed for emergency leak repairs, roof renovations, and bridging small gaps up to 3mm in width without needing additional tape or scrim.
-
Emergency Waterproofing: Designed to instantly prevent water ingress, even when applied to damp or wet surfaces.
-
Vapour Permeable: Forms a flexible, seamless membrane that stops water but allows trapped moisture to evaporate naturally.
-
Weather-Resistant: UV stable and unaffected by extreme temperature fluctuations.
-
Bridge Gaps: The built-in fibre reinforcement spans small cracks and seams, providing long-term structural elasticity.
Sealacryl adheres securely to a wide variety of materials, including:
-
Flat and pitched roofs
-
Roofing felt and asphalt
- Colour Grey
-
Slate, lead, and concrete
-
Corrugated asbestos and fibre cement
-
Glasshouses and metal surfaces
-
Coverage: Expect to use roughly 1 to 2 kg per square meter.
-
Application: No thinning is required. Apply using a stiff brush or a standard paint roller at temperatures between +5°C and +25°C.
-
Coats: While it is marketed as a one-coat system, applying a second coat ensures a uniform thickness.
- Drying Time: Touch dry in roughly 24 hours, depending on ventilation and ambient temperature.
