Description
These 70mm acoustic hangers significantly improve the overall sound insulation of suspended ceilings that are installed to timber joists or concrete soffits.
These hangers are often used when providing a secondary ceiling directly below an initial one that is to remain in place.
The hangers can be used in combination with all manufacturer’s suspended ceiling systems including the British Gypsum CasoLine MF Ceiling System.
Applications
Acoustic hangers are a good choice where you are able to lose 100mm (or about 4 inches) of ceiling height.
Please Note: We advise a minimum 150mm void.
The Acoustic Hanger is installed to the base material using the correct combination of fastener and washer.
Please Note: Additional 25mm ‘penny’ washers (included) must be used in conjunction with the Acoustic Hangers.
A penetration of a minimum of 50mm should be achieved on the chosen substrate to ensure that the applied loading can be accommodated.

The inclusion of a minimum thickness of 100mm (45kg/m3 density) mineral fibre slab within the void
-
When providing a double layer of Sound bloc quality plasterboard as the final ceiling finish
